The first Pride was a riot! June 28th 1969, queer and trans people of color fought back against police harassment and discriminatory laws making our sexualities and gender identities illegal. On June 28th, 56 years later, meet Valley Pride at Miner’s Marsh at 11am to continue this tradition of protest as we march through Kentville to Centre Square. Now more than ever, we need Pride and we need community!
